Compare two texts and catch errors in real time

A minimalist web tool that compares two texts side by side — an instant word-by-word diff and real-time French grammar checking via LanguageTool. No button to press: analysis fires automatically on every keystroke.

The problem

Comparing two versions of a text while catching mistakes at the same time meant juggling several tools — a diff tool, a grammar checker, and copy-pasting between the two.

What was built

A two-column interface with an instant client-side diff (red = removed, green = added) and LanguageTool checking debounced at 800ms per textarea. Errors are underlined with a suggestion tooltip. Built-in clipboard (paste/copy), live word/character counter, text swap.
